A “Thank You” just isn't enough
Help us—the residents of the Gulf Coast—say a heartfelt "thank you" to all the volunteers, named and unnamed, who risked their own livelihoods to help recover our own. When we were down, they were there for us—coming by the thousands from every state of the Union and many foreign countries as well. They still continue to come surrendering spring breaks, vacations, retirement time and even suspending businesses, careers, and investment ventures.
Please join us in helping fund our permanent thank you, a 30 foot egyptian style obelisk at the Mississippi Welcome Center off Highway I-10 in western Hancock County. The location represents the gateway to the Gulf Coast and lies at the border between Louisiana and Mississippi and will therefore be available to visitors from both states, which suffered so horribly from Hurricane Katrina.
